Hazlewood is extending its licensing expertise into the pizza arena for the first time.
The company is adding a Tweenies-inspired meal kit to its repertoire, having already established itself as a key licensing player in the celebration cakes market.
The Tweenies Cheese and Tomato Make & Do pizza pack is going into chillers at Asda and Sainsbury now.
Each 250g pack contains two pizza bases, two pots of grated cheese, tomato sauce and diced tomato. Rsp for the meal kits is £1.99. Simon Staddon, commercial director of Hazlewood Pizza, owned by Greencore, said: “We felt the current propositions didn’t engage children or parents.”
