The creators of new baked vegetable snack Kooks are hoping the product will prove a hit with kids and their mums.
The cheese-flavoured corn puff-style snack, which contains rice and eight vegetables, and no artificial colours or preservatives, is being pitched at mums looking for a bagged snack for their kids to take to school. It is available in single 20g bags (rsp: 40p) and six-packs (rsp: £1.69).
Owner Kooks Snack Foods plans to extend the brand with a Tangy Tomato variant and has completed development work on 150g sharing bags in a range of flavours.
“Considering all of the development, we aim to achieve 2% of the total bagged snack market by the end of our second year,” said commercial director Ben Thistlethwaite.
