Kopparberg is bringing its former on-trade exclusive cider, Kopparberg Black, into retail.
The blackcurrant, blackberry and apple cider (4% abv) launched into pubs and bars earlier this year, and will see limited release for two weeks in Asda in 5l kegs from Friday (23 November).
It will then launch into Tesco and Morrisons over the coming weeks (rsp: £18).
The NPD had “proven hugely popular this year, so we thought it was only fitting to make it available to consumers to enjoy everywhere for the festive period”, said Kopparberg senior marketing manager Rob Salvesen.
It comes as sales across Kopparberg’s portfolio of ciders have surged this year, rising 7.1% (£10.8m) to £163m, on volumes up 7.4% [Nielsen 52 w/e 8 September 2018].
