KP Snacks has added a new subrange to its nuts brand to tap evening sharing occasions.
Called Flavour Kravers, the range has debuted with three flavours: Flame Grilled Steak, Smokin’ Paprika, and Fiery Caribbean Jerk Sauce.
They hit shelves at Asda and Sainsbury’s earlier this month, with a wider retail rollout planned for the weeks ahead (rsp: £2.50/140g).
As younger consumers were “significantly influenced by flavours when making purchasing decisions”, the snacks would “drive sales in this demographic”, said the brand.
KP Snacks marketing manager Jenny Blanco Barcia said they had “been created to bring deliciously bold new flavours to the nuts segment”.
The range would capitalise “on the growing trend of meaty and spicy flavours to drive interest from consumers and fuel an exciting snacking experience, whilst bolstering sales for retailers”, she added.
The launch is being supported by an £150k PR and social campaign.
It comes after KP Nuts recently added a duo of lines – Snack Packs and Nut-Tastic – in a bid to boost daytime consumption.
The nuts segment is currently exempt from the clampdowns on HFSS products planned for October.
