Kraft is expanding its lunchbox offerings with the launch of its Dairylea Lunchables Pitta Pouches in time for the new school term in September.
Trade relations manager at Kraft, Easton Millar, said the snacks will have a 20% salt reduction from September and are positioned as the occasional lunchtime treat for school kids, but would also appeal to adults.
The new Lunchables contain two mini pitta breads with mini cubes of ham and Dairylea Cheese spread (rsp: £1.35, 115g). The Lunchables Fun pack includes a Capri Sun orange juice drink and a chocolate treat (rsp: £1.85, 115g and 200ml drink).
Supported by an on-pack Simpsons promotion - across all Dairylea Lunchables regular and fun packs - some 50,000 consumers will get the chance to win a Simpsons Scalextric set, a radio-controlled skate-boarding Bart or a Simpsons rucksack.
