First Milk is extending The Lake District Cheese Co brand of Cheddar into convenience formats with the launch of grated cheese and portion-size packs.
Lake District Grated (£1.99 for a 200g pack) and Lake District Bites (£1.49 for six 20g packs) will go into the multiples later this month. The packs will only be available in Lake District's mature flavour.
Convenience was well-established within cheese, and the time was right for the brand to offer families a wider range of formats, said First Milk marketing director Paul Murray.
