Sparkling perry brand Lambrini is hitting the off-trade with a 6% price hike.
The price increase is the first in its 12-year history other than duty. Lambrini Original, Medium Dry and Diet will go up from £1.99 to around £2.10 for 75cl, and from £2.99 to £3.16 for 1.5-litre versions. “This is to offset the rising costs of materials and distribution,” said Richard Clarke, marketing controller for supplier Halewood.
Clarke said the company was continuing to invest heavily in the brand and the rises reflected this. “We are investing £2m this August alone in the ‘Lambrini Girls Just Wanna Have Fun In the Sun’ campaign.”
