Channel Islands food retailer Le Riche's Stores has promoted Andrew Bagot to managing director. He will replace Kevin Keen who is leaving to join Jersey Milk.
Bagot, aged 37, has extensive experience over the past 10 years in store operations, buying and human resources. He was promoted to head of buying in June last year and was responsible for global food sourcing and managing pricing policy, supplier terms and merchandising. He also led store development projects.
Before that he was head of store operations, overseeing all Le Riche's Stores premises, Checkers, Stampers, The Wine Warehouse and Le Riche Forecourts in the Channel Islands. He joined Le Riche's Stores in Jersey in 1993 from Tesco.
Le Riche's Stores is the food retailing business of C I Traders and comprises more than 40 stores, with a predicted full-year turnover of £100m. The convenience store chain Island Shopper is part of the business.
Bagot will report to chief executive Martin Bralsford.
