Ex-Asda boss Allan Leighton has resigned as deputy chairman of Selfridges, trimming his list of directorships to five.
Leighton, who took up the role at Selfridges in January 2004, has a lot on his plate. Most recently, he joined Pace as chairman, a month after it slashed its profits forecast in the wake of the Japanese tsunami. He is also chairman at Peacocks, which is preparing for an IPO, and chairman of jeweller Pandora.
His other high-profile jobs include a chairmanship at online CD retailer Entertainment Magpie, and a non-executive directorship at BSkyB.
