Lily’s Kitchen has rolled out a range of supplements for dogs, designed to be incorporated into the daily feeding routine.
The four-strong lineup features three variants of capsules (rsp: £17.50/60). Bum & Belly contains ginger root powder concentrate, prebiotics, postbiotics & probiotics to help support a healthy gut microbiome; Joints & Mobility features glucosamine and chondroitin to build cartilage, green lipped mussel powder & boswellia concentrate for its anti-inflammatory properties; and Skin & Coat is made with hyaluronic acid to help hydrate and condition skin, biotin and vitamin C to help maintain a healthy coat, plus nettle concentrate & fish oil powder.
Suitable for dogs aged 12 months and above, each variant of capsule can be snapped in half to sprinkle the contents on to food.
They are joined by Norwegian Salmon Oil (rsp: £14/500ml). “This pure Norwegian salmon oil is a natural source of omega-3 fatty acids, including DHA and EPA, to help support a pooch’s skin and joint health”, said Lily’s Kitchen.
Brands eye wellness: petcare trends report
The Nestlé brand aimed “to help pets live their best lives, and that’s exactly why we’ve developed this new range of supplements and salmon oil, which we hope will help dogs all over the country start the new year on the right paw”, said head of marketing Charlotte Henderson.
“Just as pet parents are becoming increasingly aware of their own health and wellbeing, they’re making the same considerations for their pets. Supplements can help provide dogs with additional support, beyond the nutrition from their regular meals, for a particular need that is important to a pet parent and their four-legged friend, such as joint mobility or skin and coat condition.”
Available now, the new supplements were “brilliant for adult dogs at every stage of life, helping to provide additional support for a range of particular needs that are important to pet parents and their pets”, said Rory Cowlam, Lily’s Kitchen vet ambassador.
