Forget Euro 2000 and Wimbledon roll on the Olympics.
Australian wine company Southcorp has got its campaign under way for its Lindemans range.
The range is the official wine sponsor of the British Olympic team and its first tailormade promotion highlighting the event began this week with Sainsbury.
It has introduced a four bottle gift pack comprising its Cawarra Shiraz Cabernet, Bin 65, Bin 50 and the premium Limestone Coast Chardonnay.
These will be promoted on gondola end at £16, £5 less than the normal retail prices of the four.
Marketing manager Lisa McGovern said: "We are now entering the prime promotional time to raise awareness regarding Lindemans and the Olympic Games.
"We are keen to give consumers the chance to trade up through the brand and this pack offers the perfect opportunity at a very favourable price."
