Natural energy drink brand Little Miracles is preparing to broaden its portfolio with a move into snacks and juice drinks.
It plans to roll out a snack bar – in five-nut and six-seed variants – later this year, along with an ambient 60ml juice shot in lemon & ginger and chilli & pomegranate. The “familiar flavours” were to help drive interest in juice shots in the UK, where they were a new category, said Little Miracles CEO Frederick Senger.
The aim of the organic NPD was to “take the brand to new heights” and become a “full solution” for shoppers seeking healthier on-the-go options, he added. “We’ll add more and more as we increase distribution.”
News of the forthcoming launch comes as the brand has boosted its core lineup of tea-based drinks with its first mate variant, flavoured with baobab, ginger and agave. At 2.1g of sugar per 100ml, it is the lowest sugar option in the Little Miracles drinks portfolio – reformulated recently to be under 5g per 100ml by removal of cane sugar.
The drinks now tasted better, claimed Senger. “Sugar sometimes hinders flavours.”
