Online payment provider Klarna is partnering with online meat ordering service LiveLean Nutrition.
LiveLean will offer Klarna’s Pay After Delivery service to its 50,000 customers.
The PAD service allows shoppers 14 days interest-free to pay for their order and collects minimal personal information up front to speed up the online shopping process.
The food company will also benefit from Klarna’s mobile-optimised online checkout, allowing customers to manage their transactions.
“We are very happy to offer LiveLean and its customers Klarna’s smooth checkout and approach to payments. Fresh food is important for a healthy lifestyle, and we’re delighted to partner with a company that values this way of life,” said Klarna UK general manager Luke Griffiths.
LiveLean MD Paul Horrocks added: “We’re very proud to be the first food company to offer this payment method to UK shoppers. Klarna helps us to follow through on our three key principles - quality, value and customer care, and we’re excited to offer our customers a smooth and straightforward way to pay.”
LiveLean’s online offering includes premium lean meats, ready meals and healthy dishes.
This is Klarna’s first partnership with a UK food company. It also works with retailer Arcadia, footwear brand Schuh and luxury bag designer Knomo.
