Meat and fish took starring roles in this year's Scotland Food & Drink Excellence Awards.
Loch Fyne Oysters came out on top in the retail fish and seafood category for its oyster products, while Edinburgh-based Jian's Dumplings took the award in the red, white and game meat section.
Smoked meat specialist Rannoch Smokery won
best direct marketing development for the promotion of its smoked meat and game.
The Collaboration in Supply Chains award was won by North Highland Products, which was commended for locally sourcing products and ingredients for its Mey Selections range of beef, lamb, mutton, seafood, cheese, bakery, honey, whisky, conserves and preserves.
Angus Soft Fruits' Good Natured Fruit won the Fruit or Vegetable Retail award as well as the overall Supreme award. The company's strawberries and raspberries, which are grown without pesticides using a combination of technology and traditional methods, impressed judges with their combination of high quality, freshness and strong healthy-eating message.
Scottish dairy producers also did well at the event. The success of Made Fair ice-creams and smoothies helped Cream O'Galloway Dairy Company to claim the dairy, confectionery and snacking award. The company also collected the environmental award for its production practices.
Scotland's largest independent dairy company, Graham's The Family Dairy, was named the best of the previous year's winners, while other winners included Dean's of Huntly in the bakery and cereal-based retail category for its shortbread biscuits, and Brewdog in the drinks section, which was honoured for Paradox Imperial Stout.
The awards were presented last week at Edinburgh's Mansfield Traquair and were sponsored by The Grocer.
