Londis has launched a new Christmas marketing push featuring its very own elf, Elfie, who will tour the UK this month to give shoppers the chance to win £500 for their Christmas shopping.
Shoppers will be encouraged through teasers on the Londis Facebook and Twitter pages to find the capricious creature who will appear in secret locations across the country and take a ‘Selfie with Elfie’.
Other posts will be “geo-targeted” to specifically highlight the campaign to local people nearer to the selected stores’ locations.

Shoppers who upload their ‘sElfie’ will get a chance to win the £500 pre-paid Visa card.
In-store point of sale will drive awareness of the campaign.
“This is a great way to build on our existing social media success by doing something fun to create a buzz and drive footfall into stores at such a key time of year,” said Londis brand director Martin Swadling.
Peter Herring, who owns Londis Shiphay, said it was “a great way for us to talk to our shoppers. The new Christmas campaign is something we’re really excited to be involved in and hope ‘Elfie’ will be visiting us soon.”
