Over 50 small suppliers have signed up to smallsupplier.com, Londis' web site enabling retailers to source products from local specialist drop shipment suppliers. Retailers can place multiple orders from regional suppliers on the site, which are processed centrally. They then receive a single invoice from Londis. "Smallsupplier.com is unique in this arena," said Londis trading director John Taylor. "It gives real competitive advantage and our retailers access to a far broader range of local goods.We expect to have 100 firms signed up by early next year."
