Londis has struck a deal with cashpoint systems provider TRM to boost the presence of ATM’s in store.
The deal will give Londis retailers the chance to try an ATM machine for three months free of charge, a higher commission rate on self-fill machines. The first 50 self-fill machines will be reduced by £500.
According to the symbol group an ATM in the shop could deliver around £11,000 of extra profit each year.
Trade marketing director Ross Halliday said: “Independent research shows that customers value an ATM more highly in a convenience store than a lottery terminal or a post office.”
One in four Londis stores currently has an ATM.
