Londis has axed its pre-recorded music and messaging radio station Londis FM and signed up with Newsagents Radio to offer members a free live radio service.
Set up by former Radio 1 DJ Bruno Brookes in February 2002, Newsagents Radio now has more than 2,500 c-stores and CTNs on its books.
Londis trade marketing director Ross Halliday said: “Independent research shows that instore radio improves the atmosphere and drives sales of advertised products.”
As part of the tie-up with the station’s owner Storm Digital, Londis has struck a three-month advertising and sponsorship deal to promote Londis membership through the station, Halliday added.
