Lotus Biscoff is moving into on-the-go snacks with new, Dairylea Dunkers-style, ‘Biscoff & Go’ dip packs.
The packs include Biscoff’s spread and breadsticks to dunk in it, with the brand claiming it offers “a more convenient, portable format” for on-the-go snacking.
The NPD is suitable for vegans and those intolerant to lactose, and is free from artificial colours and flavours. It will roll into Spar and other convenience retailers over the coming months (rsp: £1).
The packs feature “the impactful and eye-catching red background that is synonymous with the iconic Lotus brand”, said Lotus, with “a crisp image of the hero biscuit, which will ensure the product is instantly recognisable in this new category”.
Lotus had now “become a three-category brand” with the launch, added its category marketing manager Frances Booth, the launch “rooting us firmly in the food-to-go market and driving sales in a new direction”.
The brand is recommending the new packs are hung from euro hooks or merchandised “in a neat counter display unit to encourage impulse purchases”.
