Cider manufacturer Merrydown has launched a campaign under the banner "Made With Love". PoS material with the new branding has been rolled out to the on-trade and will appear in the off-trade in March. The "Made With Love" strapline is crafted into the shape of apple trees, apples and Champagne corks. "We are hoping to create a better balance with shelf barkers and PoS that will show the personality of the brand, as well as being functional," said Merrydown managing director Chris Carr. "Made with Love is a creative very dear to my heart because for the past 60 years, that is exactly how Merrydown has been made." Sales of Merrydown at Costcutter were up 35% year-on-year due to a summer promotion, said Carr. "We are also growing in all the big supermarkets except Asda, which reduced our distribution in February," he said. "However, we are back up to full distribution there as of last month."
