Lucozade Ribena Suntory has unveiled a low-calorie version of Lucozade, which the brand promises to be its biggest launch of 2016.
Rolling out from 2 May, Lucozade Zero – available in Orange and Pink Lemonade flavours – will be backed by a £5m media campaign and is the latest move by Lucozade Ribena Suntory in its commitment to reduce calories across its portfolio, with more than half of the soft drinks market (57%) now low-calorie or calorie-free [2015 BSDA UK Soft Drinks Report].
With two calories per 100ml, Lucozade Zero will be available in 380ml PMPs and non-PMP bottles across wholesale and independents. It will also come as a 500ml bottle within grocery and convenience, in addition to a multipack of six 380ml bottles and a one-litre format.
“We are really excited to be launching this innovative new drink. Lucozade Zero offers people the chance to enjoy two of their favourite flavours with lower calories,” said Lucozade Energy senior brand manager Charlotte Flook. “This new launch is another way that Lucozade Ribena Suntory is delivering on its ambition to reduce calories across its portfolio by 20%.”
