Hot on the heels of 2010's microwavable haggis, food producer Macsween is launching a black pudding that can be microwave-steamed in 90 seconds.
Director Jo Macsween said the success of the haggis had inspired the company to try the microwave concept on black pudding. Made with traditional ingredients, it was low in calories and fat and would appeal to "health-conscious black pudding traditionalists," she added.
The pudding will launch at the Royal Highland Show and hits Scottish Asda stores in September.
