Made for Drink, the meat snacking brand designed to be paired with posh booze, has launched into Waitrose’ collection of in-store wine bars.
The retailer has listed the brand’s Chorizo Thins and Mangalitza Chips, billed as matching with red wine and pilsners respectively, after a trial at its Canary Wharf store.
Waitrose sat “at the very epicentre of the UK artisan food movement”, said Made for Drink founder Dan Featherstone. “For them to not simply embrace the quality of our snacks but champion our unflinching commitment to snacks that pair perfectly with your favourite wines, pilsners and IPAs is beyond outstanding.”
It comes as the brand has also launched its Chorizo Thins into a number of upmarket wine specialists such as The Wine Society and The Connaught Wine Cellars.
The brand unveiled a new spin-off duck fat brand called Spud Tub earlier this year, rolling out 212ml jars of fat - a byproduct of Made for Drink’s Duck Fritons.
