Made For Drink has added Mangalitza pork snacking chips to its range of snacks designed specifically to accompany booze.
The NPD is made from rare breed pork, and would “pair perfectly with a chilled, fruity pilsner”. It joins the brand’s Duck Fritons which are designed to go with IPAs, and Chorizo Thins which are meant for Rioja.
The trio rolled exclusively into Waitrose this month, having previously been stocked across the on-trade in Rick Stein’s restaurant group and the Fat Duck Group as well as Fortnums (rsp: £2.79/23g).
Sourcing the salami had been “no easy task”, said the brand, and had “resulted in a meaningful, long-term collaboration” with fine ingredients specialists Unearthed.
