Majestic has opened another two stores, taking the total number of openings by the wine retailer to three in a fortnight.
It has in the past week opened stores in Solihull, Birmingham and Plymouth, having launched in in Banstead on Halloween (31 October).
The store in Plymouth, which opened on Tuesday (12 November), is being sub-let from The Range, which has its headquarters in the building on William Prance Road, Derriford.
The 4,400 sq ft shop will stock Majestic’s full range of over 1,200 wines – including 72 fine wines – plus beers, spirits, low & no-alcohol alternatives, soft drinks and snacks.
The 3,450 sq ft unit in Solihull, meanwhile, is located in Dominion Court, less than half a mile from Touchwood Solihull Shopping Centre, Mell Square Shopping Centre and Solihull train station.
It also stocks the full Majestic range of drinks and snacks.
The fortnight of openings is the busiest period of retail expansion by Majestic since it split from Naked Wines and was acquired by Fortress five years ago.
In total, Majestic has opened six new sites in 2024, with Plymouth, Solihull and Banstead joining new shops in Jersey, East Dulwich and Brentwood in opening since April.
Majestic also moved outside its traditional retail base with the purchase of Vagabond Wines earlier this year. It bought the Vagabond brand and nine of its 12 bars out of administration in April.
