Britvic has responded to new government standards for food and drink sold in schools with a range of healthy fruit juice drinks for schoolchildren.
The Really Wild Drinks Company range will be available in 250ml cans for vending machines and school canteens from the start of the new 2007 term. All drinks are preservative-free, contain no added sugar, artificial sweeteners or colourings and count as one of the recommended daily portions of fruit and vegetables.
Flavours include apple & blackcurrant, and orange & pineapple, which is made with 70% juice and 30% water, and available in both still and sparkling. Apple & prickly pear and orange & mango are made with 100% pure fruit juice.
"The new government legislation, which imposes strict regulations on what drinks can be served in schools, makes it more important than ever to stock a range of healthy drinks that teenagers will enjoy," said Britvic's nutritionist Julie Dean.
