Makro has confirmed that its Coventry, Swansea and Wolverhampton depots will close on 31 May.
The move, affecting 378 jobs, was first announced last month.
"Talks between Usdaw, store representatives and Makro have taken place and it [was] agreed it is no longer viable to continue to operate the stores," a Makro spokeswoman said.
"Talks will now focus on supporting store staff. Redeployment opportunities, terms of redundancy and career support will be made available and every effort will be made to find employment for those staff affected."
