Vince Maloney is to take over as stores director at Budgens following the promotion of Peter Ellis to the PLC board. After joining Budgens in 1997 when the Neighbourhood Stores business was acquired, Maloney was appointed a senior controller within the operations division. In his new role he will be responsible for all day-to-day operational aspects of the Budgens store business. Greg Kopacz, formerly marketing director of Nestlé subsidiary Tivall, has been appointed director of the food manufacturing division. This position includes responsibility for Gilsons (Budgens' own craft bakery at Kettering), and Budgens' meat plant at Wellingborough. Sean Purnell, former manager of Budgens' Faringdon store, has been appointed as operations executive with responsibility for 25 Budgens stores in Essex and East Anglia. {{PEOPLE MOVES }}
