More than 130 M&S products are available to order from the new locations on the Deliveroo app
M&S is offering home deliveries from a further 20 stores in as little as 30 minutes via Deliveroo.
More than 130 M&S products are available to order from the new locations on the Deliveroo app, including fresh fruit & vegetables, pasta, meat, prepared meals, sweets, biscuits, soft drinks, wine and toilet roll. Orders have a £4.99 delivery fee.
M&S franchise stores at BP petrol stations began offering home deliveries via Deliveroo – with a more limited number of items available – last month.
The addition of the 20 M&S stores in “city and town locations” – namely Bath, Belfast, Birmingham, Brent Cross, Canterbury, Cambridge, Cardiff, Chester, Derby, Edinburgh, Exeter, Glasgow Argyle St, Kingston, Leeds, Liverpool, Newcastle, Nottingham, Pantheon (Oxford St), Plymouth and Solihull – brings the total number offering home delivery to 142.
The service was part of M&S’ continued effort to “support families and households at home due to Covid-19” a spokeswoman said.
Deliveroo has forged and expanded several supermarket and convenience store partnerships in recent months, as stores seek to rapidly improve their online grocery offering.
Morrisons last month signed a deal with Deliveroo to start deliveries by bicycle and motorbike from more than 130 stores. A similar deal was struck with McColl’s the same week, which saw 120 stores offer home delivery for the first time. Co-op has partnered with the courier company since early last year. This month the supermarket revealed the Deliveroo service would be offered from 770 stores by the middle of this year.
