Marks and Spencer will repeat last year’s policy and open 11 of its stores for 24 hours in the run up to Christmas.
The stores with extended trading hours are mainly edge of town stores for destination or late night shopping. The only Simply Food outlet with extended hours is the Tottenham Court Road store which will close at midnight.
All 11 stores will open for 24 hours on December 23 and six of them will be open all night on December 21.
It will also be opening 32 stores until midnight during December compared to 13 last year.
M&S retail director Barry Stevenson said: “We received very positive feedback from customers last Christmas, so we have continued with 24 hour trading and increased the number of our stores trading until midnight.”
