Waitrose has poached M&S logistics chief Ian Mumby to become its new head of supply chain development and support.
Mumby, who will join on 8 November, has been head of logistics, supply chain & IT at M&S's food division for the past seven years. His previous roles include logistics and commercial roles at Safeway between 1996 and 2003 and senior engagement manager for McKinsey in London and New York.
He also served as chairman of the CIES International Supply Chain Committee (now the Consumer Goods Forum) from 2004 to 2010.
