Marks and Spencer is set to enter the Taiwanese market through a joint venture with Taiwan's President Chain Stores.
M&S will own a 60% stake in the joint venture, with plans to open two stores in the country this year.
The retailer pulled out of Taiwan in 2001 as part of its turnaround programme but has since started to build overseas investment.
