A pair of animated battling fruit flies are the stars of a new ad campaign for Haribo's Maoam chews which hit the small screen this week.
The duo, Fred and Ernie, are aimed at stimulating trial among the brand's target audience of 10 to 15-year-olds.
Carrying the message Go mad for Maoam', the four-week campaign is running on Channels 4 and 5, Nickelodeon, Sky One, Trouble and CNX. It replaces the previous ads which starred the world in-line skating champion. A second ad is scheduled for the summer.
Maoam now has its own website offering the chance to interact with the fly characters.
