Former Conviviality MD Mark Aylwin has joined buying group Equinoxe Solutions as its chairman.
Aylwin, who stepped down from the helm of Conviviality’s on-trade wholesale wing in January (before the PLC collapsed into administration), has joined Equinoxe with immediate effect.
He has also made an equity investment into the business, which buys across a range of food, drink and non-food categories for clients including high-profile hospitality groups such as Revolution Bars, Tortilla and ETM Group.
Equinoxe had worked with Aylwin when he was a board member at Booker, said the group’s CEO Lee Parker. “Mark is one of the most respected figures in the industry and we are excited that his experience and expertise in all aspects of the food and drink supply chain will be available to us as we embark on the next stage of our ambitious growth plans.”
Prior to working at Conviviality, Aylwin was MD of Booker Retail Partners, where he oversaw Londis and Budgens, and before that Booker Direct, where he had responsibility for brands such as Chef Direct, Ritter Courivaud and Classic Drinks.
