Mars claims it will have no problems meeting orders for Twix despite having to destroy a whole production run. Almost three million Twix were destroyed after beetles were found in the flour supply of its Slough factory.
Production of Twix was put on hold for three days and £800,000 worth of the bars were destroyed.
A spokeswoman said: "We will not have any problems meeting orders. We are investigating how the beetles got into the flour. It has never happened before." None of the Twix bars made with suspect flour left the factory.
