Mars has a new strapline - ‘Another Way to Make Your Day’ - as part of continued evolution of the iconic brand.
The ‘Pleasure You Can’t Measure’ message - introduced in 2002 at the start of the brand’s repositioning - is being ditched in favour of the new strapline, which will be used in a £6.6m television, cinema and poster campaign running from this week until November.
It will bring all the Mars products under the same banner for the first time and make the brand more relevant to today’s consumer, according to Masterfoods’ trade relations manager, Andrea Taylor.
“It’s all about Mars adding something special to the day. The campaign and strapline reflect what consumers tell us the brand means to them.”
The brand has been repositioning itself from hearty snack - with legendary straplines such as ‘A Mars a Day Helps You Work, Rest and Play’ and ‘If I Don’t Fill You, Nothing Will’ - to indulgent treat.
