The treats will return to supermarket shelves in February

Mars Wrigley has revived Milky Way Crispy Rolls after a three-year hiatus.

It has brought back the chocolate-coated wafers with soft centres in response to “much demand” from shoppers.

They will be joined by new Bounty Crispy Rolls and Twix Crispy Rolls, all rolling into UK supermarkets on 1 February.

Milky Way Crispy Rolls were discontinued in 2022, much to the dismay of fans, who “flooded social media with heartfelt pleas, humorous memes, and even petitions demanding their return – one of which garnered over 8,000 signatures”, according to Mars Wrigley.

The announcement comes after Mars Wrigley installed cryptic billboards in key London locations, featuring real-life tweets from fans of the treats.

“Woke up to see apparently crispy rolls have been discontinued??!” read one of the billboards. “Week ruined nobody talk to me.”

A spokeswoman for Mars Wrigley said: “We never anticipated just how passionate the response would be when Milky Way Crispy Rolls were discontinued.

“It became clear that this iconic treat holds a special place in people’s hearts, and we knew we had to bring it back.”

Mars Wrigley isn’t the first manufacturer to revive a discontinued confectionery line in response to consumer demand.

Nestlé brought back Caramac for a limited run last summer after halting production of the treat in 2023.
