Martini is tapping into the rosé trend by launching a variant using a combination of white and red wine.
The pink-coloured Martini Rosato has an aroma of cloves and cinnamon and a sweet and spicy finish. It can be enjoyed straight up or on the rocks, but the company suggests serving it long over ice and topped with pomegranate juice to enjoy the full flavour.
Martini also hopes to perk up the vermouth category by revamping its traditional bottle. The new look has a curved shape, while the labelling has been overhauled to give a bright, transparent and modern look. New colour-coding on the main bottle label and neck reflects blue for Bianco, dark red for Rosso, pink for Rosato and green for Extra Dry.
"The new flavour offers new ways to drink Martini," said director of marketing Liam Newton. "Together with the new bottle design, it will give our infrequent drinkers an opportunity to reasses the brand."
