Northern Irish prepared veg and ready meal supplier Mash Direct has won listings in Fortnum & Mason, adding to the brand’s existing presence in luxury retailer Partridges.
The deal sees the London department store stock eight SKUs, including Carrot & Parsnip Mash, Braised Red Cabbage and Beetroot, Champ, and Colcannon, with stock going on sale last week (rsp: £1.69 - £1.99).
It follows the brand’s listings in English Tesco stores, which were secured in March, and those added in 2015 at Nisa, The Co-op Group and Scottish Waitrose stores.
“We are thrilled to be launching into Fortnum & Mason, a venerable British institution,” said Mash Direct sales director Lance Hamilton. ”This exciting new listing is testament to the quality of our ingredients and products across the range, and we are proud to be recognised as a quality producer.”
Two new products have also been added to the Mash Direct brand this week. Potato Rostis (rsp: £1.50), which are available from Iceland and independent stores, and Sweet Potato Croquettes (rsp: £2.69), also available from independents.
All of the products are gluten-free, and do not contain artificial additives, preservatives and colourings, and are low in salt, said Mash Direct.
The business was launched in 2004 by Martin and Tracy Hamilton in County Down, and began its expansion into the UK mainland in 2014 with nationwide listings in Ocado and Asda.
