Masterfoods is ensuring that cats and dogs don’t get left out of the present stakes this Christmas with an improved festive range of snacks.
Whiskas Tub, including Temptations, Crunch and Kitbits, joins the range for cats while Pedigree has introduced a limited-edition chocolate flavour Rodeo snack for dogs.
According to Masterfoods, 95% of owners buy a gift for their dog and 89% for their cat [Consumer Insights Research 2004] and people are spending more on their pets than previous years.
In 2004, the typical owner spent on average £8.05 on gifts for their pet.
Pedigree and Whiskas stockings and Christmas cards, which include a bag of Pedigree limited-edition Schmackos and Whiskas Temptations, are also making a return this year.
