German drinks supplier MBG International Premium Brands has taken a majority share in British business Feel Good Drinks.
The companies said the deal would give MBG, which has a portfolio of brands including vitamin water Ganic and juice drink Fruitinio, “major opportunities” in the UK. MGB was started in 1993 by entrepreneur Andreas Herb and now has annual sales of about €200m across 46 different countries.
The move is also expected to help Feel Good Drinks, currently sold in 17 countries, expand its listings overseas.
Feel Good Drinks was established in 2001 by former Coca Cola colleagues Dave Wallwork and Steve Cooper, who will continue to manage the UK business. Feel Good’s range, which is 100% natural and has no added sugar, includes juice drinks for children and adults, non-alcoholic cocktails and the recently launched Feel Good Water.
“It’s important to find a partner who shares your values,” said Feel Good MD Wallwork. “MBG is an entrepreneurial business whose success has come from creating and growing quality brands, that’s exactly what we love doing too.
“This is a perfect partnership as it will open up huge international opportunities for Feel Good Drinks. We’re also looking forward to introducing the impressive range of MBG soft drinks to our UK customers.”
