McCain has revamped its frozen microwave range with the launch of Southern Fried chicken wings as well as the introduction of an improved Micro Pizza offering.
The wings, which are covered in a mix of herb and spiced breadcrumbs, come in a 135g box for £1.29 and can be microwaved from frozen in less than three minutes.
Designed to be eaten
from the box to avoid unnecessary mess, the products offer the ultimate in hassle-free hot food, according to McCain.
The company has also reformulated the recipe of its Micro Pizzas, using new dough technology to produce what it described as a lighter, softer base when cooked in the microwave.
The pizzas are available in three flavours - cheese & tomato, pepperoni and chargrilled chicken & red - and cook from frozen in less than three minutes.
They come in a twin-pack with an rsp of £1.59 for the multiples and 89p single packs for convenience stores.
Creations Bites - a combination of brandy snap discs covered in milk, dark and white chocolate - are the latest products from Fox’s Biscuits. The bites are available in a 150g box with an rsp of £2.49.
Délifrance is tapping into demand for Continental breakfast products with the launch of a Butter Brioche Loaf.
Délifrance UK’s frozen offering will also now include frozen French sandwich baguettes and mixed petit pains - in Waitrose from November.
Adult soft drink Shloer has struck a deal to become official supplier to the Masters Tennis Tournament in London. Press, sampling and BBC TV coverage will run from November 29 to December 4. The most recent launch from the brand is Red Grape, Elderberry & Clove (rsp: £1.99 for one litre).
