McCain has pledged to donate £1m to Family Fund to support families with disabled or seriously ill children.
The £1m donation will support Family Fund’s goal to provide 150,000 grants and services to families raising disabled or seriously ill children by 2023. It would enable those families to buy essential items such as kitchen appliances and technology to “ease the strain” of their day-to-day lives, McCain said.
Alongside its donation, McCain is using its platforms to drive awareness of Family Fund. This will include a national ad campaign and limited edition pack of Home Chips designed by competition winner Charlie Conway.
The partnership forms part of the frozen-food manufacturer’s wider ambition to make a difference to families and communities across the country, with particular focus on championing family mealtimes though its We Are Family campaign.
It has also donated more than 400,000 meals to Fare Share
Supporting the nation’s families was “a priority for us and we are determined to play our part to help address those most in need”, said McCain GB President Howard Snape.
“It’s vital that all of us in a position to help take meaningful action to support those most in need during this challenging time.”
Family Fund CEO Cheryl Ward said the charity was “thrilled to partner with McCain”.
“Families absolutely need and deserve the chance to enjoy the simple things in life – like coming together at mealtimes,” she added.
