KP Snacks hopes to deliver a ‘full-on chip shop experience’ to the bagged snacks category with the launch of a crinkle-cut sharing range.
On shelf from 19 September, McCoy’s Chips comprises two variants – Sea Salt and Salt & Vinegar – that promise to taste ‘just like the real thing’ (rsp: £1.50/125g). They are intended to tap a love for fish & chips that sees Brits spend £1.2bn each year, according to Andy Riddle, branded sales director at KP Snacks.
“McCoy’s is currently worth £100m and experiencing healthy growth of 4%,” he added. “The introduction of McCoy’s Chips will continue to drive penetration with a broader consumer base and add value to the category.”
