A summer of activity with a strong golf theme has been planned for McEwan's.
Scottish Courage is strengthening the brand's association with The Open Golf Championship through a new and exclusive three year beer supply agreement with the event, this year is at The Old Course at St Andrews.
A promotion supporting McEwan's Export's links with golf will run in the Daily Mail to coincide with the Open. This features a £1m golfing goodies giveaway, and a putt for a £1m competition.
The brewer has printed 1.5 million game cards which will include a 40p money-off voucher on a McEwan's Export four pack, redeemable at Tesco, Safeway, Sainsbury's, Somerfield, Haddows and Oddbins where the promotion will be featured, and all other McEwan's Export stockists.
McEwan's S.P.A., the new 3.5% ABV CO2 ale, was launched in May and is now on-shelf in Scottish stores. Listings have been secured in Sainsbury, Tesco, Safeway, Somerfield, Asda, First Quench, Co-op, Booker, Spar, Nisa-Today, Mace, Morning Noon & Night and David Sands stores.
This is supported by a £2m marketing campaign running north of the border which includes posters and TV.
