McGuigan has launched a two-strong Australian wine range exclusively into the Co-op.
The Borders duo, available now from the retailer, comprises a shiraz and a chardonnay, both created from grapes where the regional borders of New South Wales, South Australia and Victoria meet to produce two “intensely fruity” wines (rsp: £6.69).
Reflecting the “high-quality” wine available in Australia at the moment, the drinks would “really appeal” to the Co-op consumer, said the retailer’s wine buyer Ed Robinson, adding the new tipples represented “great value” for customers.
Chief winemaker for McGuigan, Neil McGuigan, said: “We are extremely proud of both and feel they truly reflect our commitment to provide wines that over-deliver on price.”
