McGuigan Wines, the Australian winery, has launched the 2016 vintage of its Bin 9000 Semillon into Asda stores.
It is currently available to buy on the Asda website and will be in stores from early June with an rsp of £13.98.
The wine, which is made from grapes grown in the Hunter Valley region, has won the International Wine & Spirits Competition Semillon Trophy four times. According to McGuigan, the tipple is full of fruity gooseberry and lime flavours, has a crisp and zesty acidity finish and will develop toast and honey undertones as it ages.
“A fantastic wine we are really proud of, Bin 9000 Semillon has been an integral contributor to our award-winning success, and is an excellent example of why the Hunter Valley is world-renowned for its outstanding semillon production,” said chief winemaker Neil McGuigan.
“We’re excited to see the distribution grow even further with Asda, giving even more consumers access to a true taste of this wonderful grape varietal and region.”
