Meccano is kicking off a pre-Christmas push for its new Gears of War range on Monday.
The new ads will run for four weeks on channels including Cartoon Network, Disney XD, Nicktoons and CITV, with the company estimating that 60% of six to 11-year-old boys will see the ads seven times on average.
Four separate adverts have been created: three 10-second ads each featuring the King Raven, Centaur Tank and Armadillo APC; and a 30-second treatment bringing all three together in a battle scene.
“We’re back on TV and back with a vengeance with our new Gears of War licensed models,” said Sue Barratt, UK country manager for Meccano. “We’re convinced these model military vehicles will really capture the imagination.”
Meccano’s Gears of War range includes the COG Armadillo APC (rsp: £24.99), COG King Raven (rsp: £39.99), COG Centaur Tank (rsp: £34.99) and Locusts vs Delta Squad Battleset (rsp: £59.99). Each model comes with poseable figures and weapons.
