Soft drinks brand Mello is moving into food for the first time, with the launch of roasted watermelon seeds in an on the go format.
Set to roll out from 10 May to selected Wholefood stores, the protein-rich product is positioned as a healthier snacking choice.
It comes in two variants - lightly salted and mild chilli - with an rsp of £2.99 for a 125g pot. A 25g bag is planned for later this summer.
Also this month, the brand - founded by Manchester entrepreneurs Rose Aldean and Sophie Lund - will introduce a new flavour of cold-pressed melon juice, Honeydew, which will join Watermelon and Cantaloupe in being sold in 271 branches of Boots (rsp: £2.49/250ml). It will be available from 9 May.
