More than 5,000 indies are now using Menzies Distribution’s smartphone app.

The app, launched last year, allows retailers to amend orders, make credit enquiries and find out about stock items from the shop floor.

Commercial and marketing director David Cooke said 2,200 customers made almost 18,000 transactions on the app in April. “We would like to think that number will only increase this year,” he added.
